WiseTech Global has raised concerns about ocean freight disruption risks heading into late November. The company's November Ocean Freight Risk Outlook covers weeks 45 to 48 and rates the Asia-North America and Asia-Europe trade lanes as high risk, according to The Loadstar in a report published Friday, November 6, 2026.

Capacity tightens on key routes

On the Asia-North America trade, planned carrier capacity is expected to tighten in the second half of November because of reduced supply rather than stronger demand. WiseTech's demand-to-supply signal is forecast to reach 128 percent in week 47, pointing to significant capacity pressure.

Booking security risk is expected to rise to 71 percent by week 48, above its historical average of 41 percent. Monthly on-time performance also fell to 25.6 percent in October from 26.9 percent in September, although the latest weekly reading improved to 27.3 percent.

Asia-Europe picture remains uneven

Asia-Europe shows a different capacity trend, with the demand-to-supply ratio forecast to decline through week 48. Yet service performance remains weak: only 9.3 percent of shipments reached the destination port on or before the promised arrival date in October, while 39.1 percent of arrivals were delayed by at least eight days.

For investors, the outlook highlights operational pressure across global shipping lanes rather than a new financial forecast. WiseTech's CargoWise software serves logistics operators, making freight visibility and planning tools relevant to customers facing tighter capacity and less predictable transit times.
