Wipro's second-quarter results for the period ended September 30, 2026, combined higher reported revenue with weaker profit and a cautious outlook for the December quarter. The Financial Express reported on October 15 that consolidated net profit fell 1.9 percent year on year to 3,199.7 crore rupees, while gross revenue rose 9.1 percent to 24,752.7 crore rupees.

Wipro stock traded at 1.93 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 09:16 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Wipro stock.

Revenue holds while bookings weaken

IT services revenue reached 2.61 billion US dollars, up 0.3 percent year on year on a reported basis. In constant-currency terms, the segment was flat sequentially and grew 0.6 percent from a year earlier. Europe, which contributes more than one-quarter of Wipro's business, grew 5.1 percent year on year after currency effects were excluded.

The operating picture was mixed. IT services operating margin improved by 0.5 percentage points sequentially to 16.5 percent, providing support as demand remained uneven. At the same time, total bookings fell 22.9 percent sequentially in constant-currency terms to 2.6 billion US dollars. Large-deal bookings declined 58.6 percent to 674 million US dollars.

The weaker booking performance makes the near-term revenue outlook more important for investors. Wipro expects IT services revenue of 2.571 billion to 2.625 billion US dollars for the quarter ending December 31, 2026. The range implies sequential constant-currency growth of minus 1.5 percent to plus 0.5 percent, pointing to broadly stable or slightly lower revenue in the next reporting period.

AI remains a strategic growth theme

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Srini Pallia said strategic investments were helping Wipro enter new markets, add clients and expand existing relationships. The Financial Express also cited management's view that artificial intelligence can expand the addressable market for technology and business transformation.

AI featured in several contract wins during the quarter, including a lending platform engagement with a large US banking institution and digital operations work for a North American public-sector organization. Wipro also highlighted supply-chain, procurement, finance, healthcare and cloud projects with AI components.

For shareholders, the combination of better margins and AI-related contract activity offsets only part of the pressure from weaker bookings and limited near-term growth. The December-quarter revenue range and the pace at which large deals recover are likely to remain the main operating indicators ahead of the next results.
