Vertiv reported a sharp acceleration in its fiscal third quarter on October 28, 2026, as demand for data-center power and cooling infrastructure continued to build. In an analysis published on November 2, Trefis said the company had also raised its full-year outlook, leaving investors focused on whether factories can keep pace with incoming orders.

Orders point beyond current-quarter sales
Vertiv's fiscal third-quarter revenue reached 4.31 billion US dollars, up 61.2 percent from the same period a year earlier, according to Trefis. Management said organic sales grew about 55 percent, while acquisitions contributed roughly six percentage points to the increase.
The more forward-looking signal came from orders. Organic orders were more than 100 percent above the year-earlier level, according to management remarks cited by Trefis. Customers generally place orders 12 to 18 months before delivery, which gives the order surge potential significance for sales in 2027. Vertiv also said every region exceeded its quarterly guidance.
The company raised its full-year sales guidance by 650 million US dollars to a midpoint of 14.7 billion US dollars. That figure is a forecast rather than a reported result. Trefis said the higher outlook reflects strong data-center demand, but also noted that the investment case now depends on execution and production capacity.
Capacity becomes the next test
Vertiv's new factory in Johor, Malaysia, began operating during the fiscal third quarter. Management is targeting a doubling of chiller production capacity by the end of 2026 and said it remained on track to reach that goal. The company is also expanding its Slovakia campus, adding facilities in the Americas and signing longer-term capacity agreements with key suppliers.
Those investments are intended to support a business still dominated by equipment sales. Products accounted for 80.2 percent of fiscal 2025 revenue, while services and spares made up the remainder. Product revenue grew 31.4 percent in that year, compared with 14.5 percent for services and spares, based on the figures cited by Trefis.
Management identified power availability, permitting and shortages of skilled construction labor as possible constraints on data-center expansion. It said those issues were not slowing Vertiv's own growth and described its pipeline and order book as strong. Revenue in the latest quarter also benefited from 100 million to 150 million US dollars of business delayed from the second quarter.
What investors will watch next
Vertiv will stop publishing order data, making future demand trends harder for investors to track directly. Management nevertheless expects continued significant above-market organic sales growth in 2027 and plans to provide formal 2027 guidance after fiscal fourth-quarter results, which Trefis expects in February 2027.
The real-time quote of Vertiv stock provides the latest trading indication for investors. The key operating question remains whether order growth converts into revenue without production delays or margin pressure.
Broader demand for artificial-intelligence infrastructure remains an important industry backdrop; current market reports on the S&P 500 provide the relevant US equity-market context.
