Unilever Indonesia is entering a more demanding phase of its recovery as stronger volume growth meets persistent cost inflation. In an equity snapshot published on Thursday, November 5, 2026, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas said the company’s topline recovery continued in the third quarter, supported by stronger volume and selective price increases.

The broker maintained a Buy rating but lowered its FY26-28 earnings estimates by 3.4 to 7.2 percent and reduced its target price to IDR 1,900. The report said Unilever Indonesia plans further price increases in the fourth quarter and in fiscal 2027 to help offset input-cost pressure, while continuing to focus on premiumization.

Volume Growth Supports The Recovery

In its third-quarter release, Unilever Indonesia reported sales of IDR 8.9 trillion, up 7.4 percent year on year. Underlying volume growth reached 6.4 percent, while sales for the first nine months increased 7.2 percent to IDR 25.8 trillion. Net profit from continuing operations rose 10.6 percent in the same period.

Management said the business delivered its fifth consecutive quarter of volume-led growth, with gains across Home and Personal Care as well as Foods and Refreshment. The company is also emphasizing premium brands, online distribution and productivity improvements. More than 60 percent of capital expenditure was directed to productivity and capacity expansion, according to the company.

Management expects volume-led growth with modest margin improvement in 2026. It also warned that inflation linked to Middle East-related commodities could remain elevated into 2027, increasing the importance of pricing, structural savings and disciplined investment.

Governance Adds A Near-Term Catalyst

The company is also preparing for an electronic extraordinary shareholder meeting scheduled for November 26, according to an earlier report on the company’s investor timetable. The meeting agenda is the next key governance detail for investors, while the recent removal from the IDX30 has added another reference point for the Indonesian listing.
