What has changed since our last report
At 6:34 p.m. CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Traton stock traded at 32.31 euros on Lang & Schwarz, 0.09 percent above the Xetra close of Tuesday, November 3, 2026. That quote was 1.67 percent above the 31.78 euros cited in the November 2 report, a separate comparison from the Xetra day move.
The proving ground represents an investment of approximately SEK 975 million and covers about 85 hectares. It adds 13 kilometres of paved roads and 4 kilometres of gravel roads, giving Scania and the wider TRATON GROUP dedicated capacity for development and validation.
Testing moves closer to production
The site is designed for electrification, autonomous systems, safety, vehicle dynamics and conventional technologies. Engineers can configure active-safety and autonomous-driving scenarios with increasing complexity, including tests for automatic emergency braking, lane support and blind-spot warning.
Three irrigated braking tracks use asphalt, concrete and basalt tiles to create different grip levels. The facility also allows testing that previously required external sites, which should improve scheduling and repeatability as new commercial-vehicle systems move toward customer applications.
