Tokyo Electron raised its fiscal 2027 outlook on October 30 after reporting record first-half results. The Japanese semiconductor equipment maker also authorized a share repurchase of up to 150 billion yen, while demand for AI infrastructure remains central to its growth expectations.

The company's Investor Relations page lists the October 30 FY2027 second-quarter financial announcement and the next earnings release for February 5, 2027. For the six months ended September 30, revenue rose 41.3 percent year over year to 1.6674 trillion yen, while operating profit increased 67.2 percent to 506.7 billion yen.

Higher forecast raises execution demands

Tokyo Electron now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of 3.7 trillion yen, operating profit of 1.169 trillion yen and net income attributable to owners of the parent of 865 billion yen. The forecast points to continued investment in semiconductor production for AI servers, advanced packaging and leading-edge logic.

The company expects second-half new semiconductor production equipment sales of 1.56 trillion yen. Demand for dynamic random-access memory, high-bandwidth memory and advanced logic tools supports the outlook, while mature-node spending remains softer in some markets. Delivery schedules and customer investment plans will therefore be key execution factors in the second half.

Buyback adds shareholder-return focus

The repurchase facility runs from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with a maximum purchase amount of 150 billion yen. Tokyo Electron also set a year-end dividend forecast of 108 yen per share after the five-for-one stock split effective October 1.

Tokyo Electron stock traded at 54.01 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:38 Berlin time on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
