- Teva's innovative brands generated approximately 1.1 billion US dollars in third-quarter revenue.
- Generic revenue declined as competition reduced sales of U.S. lenalidomide capsules.
- Teva expects its biosimilars business to exceed 0.8 billion US dollars in 2026 revenue.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries reported third-quarter results on Tuesday, November 3, for the period ended September 30, 2026. In its company release, the pharmaceutical group said its portfolio shift toward innovative medicines continued, although generic competition reduced sales.
Innovative portfolio gains momentum
Teva's AUSTEDO, AJOVY and UZEDY brands generated approximately 1.1 billion US dollars in combined third-quarter revenue, up 33% year over year in local currency. AUSTEDO revenue rose 21% to 751 million US dollars, while AJOVY increased 61% to 269 million US dollars. UZEDY revenue nearly doubled to 85 million US dollars.
Teva raised its 2026 revenue outlook for each of the three products. The company now expects AUSTEDO revenue of 2.55 billion to 2.65 billion US dollars, AJOVY revenue of 930 million to 960 million US dollars, and UZEDY revenue of 290 million to 310 million US dollars.
Generics remain a counterweight
Group revenue fell 2% year over year to 4.395 billion US dollars. Teva attributed the decline mainly to lower U.S. sales of generic lenalidomide capsules, where competition increased. Global generics revenue fell 16% in local currency, partly offset by growth in biosimilars and newer products.
Gross profit rose 6% to 2.44 billion US dollars, lifting the GAAP gross margin to 55.5% from 51.4% a year earlier. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share increased to 0.86 US dollars from 0.78 US dollars, while adjusted EBITDA rose 7% to 1.496 billion US dollars. The company also reported 233 million US dollars of net income attributable to Teva, compared with 433 million US dollars in the prior-year quarter.
Pipeline adds longer-term options
Teva said the U.S. launch of WELTRUZA expands its long-acting injectable schizophrenia portfolio alongside UZEDY. The company is also advancing ecopipam and an anti-IL-15 program, while its biosimilars business is expected to exceed 0.8 billion US dollars in 2026 revenue.
For the full year, Teva forecasts revenue of 16.7 billion to 17.0 billion US dollars and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of 1.92 to 2.11 US dollars. The outlook includes the impact of acquired research and development charges and assumes business development transactions closed by November 3.
