Teads Holding Co. reported a difficult third quarter on Thursday, November 5, after revenue and profitability weakened in the period ended September 30, 2026. The results were released before the company’s scheduled investor call.
According to the GlobeNewswire release carried by Yahoo Finance, revenue fell to USD 235.1 million from USD 318.8 million a year earlier. Gross profit declined to USD 60.9 million from USD 105.7 million, reducing the gross margin to 25.9% from 33.2%.
Profitability remains under pressure
Adjusted EBITDA turned negative at USD 8.1 million, compared with positive adjusted EBITDA of USD 19.2 million in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted net loss widened to USD 46.7 million from USD 13.6 million.
The GAAP net loss was USD 325.5 million, compared with USD 19.7 million a year earlier. The release said the latest result included a USD 272.4 million non-cash goodwill impairment charge and a USD 6.4 million non-cash impairment of a publisher commercial agreement asset. Those charges materially widen the reported loss beyond the underlying adjusted result.
CTV growth offsets part of weakness
Teads said connected-TV revenue grew 37% year over year and accounted for 12% of third-quarter revenue. The company also said branding customers using omnichannel campaigns represented 15% of branding revenue, up from 10% in the prior-year quarter.
Chief Executive David Kostman said the company was facing significant headwinds across the open internet. He added that early fourth-quarter trends had shown some improvement, while Teads was focusing on broader adoption of its Enterprise omnichannel offerings, cost control and balance-sheet strength.
Suspended outlook raises execution risk
Teads reiterated that it had suspended its full-year 2026 guidance, including adjusted EBITDA guidance, and was not providing a new outlook. Cash and cash equivalents stood at USD 90.3 million at September 30, while total debt obligations were USD 657.2 million.
