Takeda is shifting from regulatory progress to commercial execution as ORZEYFUL, MIMRYLO and zasocitinib become central to its growth plans. The company raised its fiscal 2026 outlook after results for the six months ended September 30, while constant-exchange-rate revenue declined.
Takeda stock traded at 18.50 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:40 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The licensed quote showed the current, bid and ask prices; no Xetra comparison is included in this report.
For investors, the latest earnings call added detail on the cost base and launch hurdles. As reported by The Globe and Mail, Takeda remains on course for 100 billion Japanese yen in gross transformation savings, while fiscal 2026 restructuring costs are expected at 160 billion Japanese yen. Procurement initiatives had already generated about 30 billion Japanese yen in annualized savings, according to the report.
New launches face access tests
ORZEYFUL launched in Japan and China on October 15 for narcolepsy type 1, with its United States launch awaiting Drug Enforcement Administration scheduling. MIMRYLO became available in the United States in August for erythrocytosis in adults with polycythemia vera.
Takeda said the FDA accepted zasocitinib for Priority Review in plaque psoriasis, while the EMA is reviewing the application. The earnings call also highlighted payer coverage and prior authorization as early access issues for MIMRYLO, while diagnosis rates could limit the pace of ORZEYFUL adoption.
Guidance rises on currency benefit
In its October 29 release, Takeda lifted its fiscal 2026 revenue forecast to 4.7 trillion Japanese yen from 4.64 trillion Japanese yen and raised core operating profit guidance to 1.19 trillion Japanese yen from 1.16 trillion Japanese yen. Management said the revisions mainly reflected foreign-exchange benefits, while the constant-rate revenue outlook remained a low-single-digit decline.
Takeda's first-half reported operating profit rose 60.4 percent, partly because VYVANSE intangible-asset amortization ended and impairment charges fell. Core operating profit increased only 0.7 percent at constant exchange rates, underscoring the difference between reported earnings and underlying operating momentum.
