Takeda reported first-half fiscal 2026 results on October 29, 2026, with reported revenue up 8.4 percent and progress across its new-medicine portfolio. The company also lifted its full-year outlook, while constant-exchange-rate trends remained more subdued.
Cash flow guidance moves higher
According to Business Wire via Fidelity, Takeda's revenue for the six months ended September 30 increased to JPY 2,407.0 billion on an actual-exchange-rate basis, while revenue declined 1.0 percent at constant exchange rates. Core operating profit rose 0.7 percent at constant exchange rates.
Adjusted free cash flow reached JPY 325.7 billion in the first half. For the full fiscal year, management raised its adjusted free cash flow guidance to JPY 700.0 billion to JPY 800.0 billion from JPY 650.0 billion to JPY 750.0 billion. The annual dividend forecast remained JPY 204 per share.
Launches shape the next phase
ORZEYFUL received approvals in the United States, Japan and China for narcolepsy type 1, while MIMRYLO launched in the United States in August for erythrocytosis in polycythemia vera. The FDA accepted zasocitinib for Priority Review, and the European Medicines Agency is reviewing the application.
Takeda also highlighted late-stage oncology progress. Its investigational arcotatug tavatecan met the dual primary endpoints of overall survival and progression-free survival in advanced gastric cancer, supporting a planned regulatory filing in Japan during fiscal 2027. The treatment remains investigational.
December strategy update ahead
Takeda will hold a Capital Markets Day in Tokyo on December 11, 2026. Investors are likely to focus on the commercial rollout of new medicines, regulatory milestones, transformation savings and the pipeline beyond Horizon One.
