Symrise stock gains 1.91% as Q3 growth strengthens outlook

Symrise stock gained as stronger third-quarter volumes lifted organic sales growth. Management kept its 2026 targets but expects slower fourth-quarter growth.

Symrise combines growth with caution

  • Third-quarter group sales rose to 1.31 billion euros from 1.222 billion euros a year earlier.
  • Growth was broad-based and mainly volume-driven across Taste, Nutrition & Health and Scent & Care.
  • Management expects fourth-quarter growth to moderate against tougher prior-year comparisons.

Symrise stock traded at 94.80 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:40 CET on Monday, November 2, 1.91% above the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. The move followed the group's report of stronger third-quarter momentum and a reaffirmed 2026 outlook.

Symrise reported organic sales growth of 5.3% for the third quarter on October 28, according to the company's financial release. Group sales reached 1.31 billion euros, compared with 1.222 billion euros in the prior-year quarter. For the first nine months, sales totaled 3.85 billion euros, versus 3.776 billion euros a year earlier, while organic growth reached 3.0%.

Volume growth broadens across segments

The company said the quarterly advance was predominantly volume-driven and supported by solid customer demand and more favorable year-on-year comparisons. Both operating segments contributed, while Pet Food and Care & Wellness returned to positive organic growth.

Taste, Nutrition & Health generated organic sales growth of 5.2%, with reported sales of 790 million euros against 736 million euros a year earlier. Scent & Care grew organically by 5.6%, and reported sales increased to 520 million euros from 487 million euros. Asia Pacific led regional momentum with double-digit growth, while Latin America and North America also performed strongly.

Symrise said its ONE Symrise strategy and ONE SYM Transformation are moving from organizational redesign into implementation. The priorities include commercial excellence, differentiated innovation, scale benefits and digitalization. Chief Executive Dr Jean-Yves Parisot linked the performance to resilient end markets, customer relationships and disciplined execution, while emphasizing reinvestment in innovation, commercial capabilities and digital tools.

Guidance remains intact

Symrise maintained its 2026 targets for organic sales growth of 2% to 4%, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21.5% to 22.5% and an adjusted business free cash flow margin above 14%. The group expects full-year organic growth near the midpoint of the range. It sees the adjusted EBITDA margin in the lower half of the target corridor because of planned investment in IT, innovation and people.

Management expects fourth-quarter growth to moderate from the third-quarter pace as the comparison base becomes more demanding. That outlook leaves the stock balancing improved volume momentum against the prospect of slower sequential growth and continued reinvestment pressure.
