  • First-nine-month sales fell to 299.8 million euros, while the EBIT margin declined to 6.1 percent from 15.2 percent.
  • Management retained 2026 guidance for sales of 405 million to 425 million euros and an EBIT margin of 5 percent to 7 percent.

SUSS MicroTec reported record demand but weaker near-term deliveries in its quarterly statement for the period ended September 30, 2026. The company said in a release carried by Finanzen.at on November 5 that third-quarter order intake reached 223.5 million euros, while the order book rose to a record 600.6 million euros at September 30.

The order book had a book-to-bill ratio of 2.1, and total order intake for the first nine months reached 633.5 million euros, the highest level in the company's history. Advanced Packaging was the main growth driver, with strong demand for coating systems used in next-generation AI chip modules. SUSS also said an existing order from a Taiwanese outsourced semiconductor assembly and test customer was expanded by approximately 50 million euros.

Supply Constraints Delay Revenue

Temporary supply-chain bottlenecks delayed selected tool deliveries and shifted revenue recognition into later periods. SUSS said the underlying customer orders remained unchanged and stayed in the order book, with some sales expected by the end of fiscal 2026 and others in early fiscal 2027.

Third-quarter sales reached 97.0 million euros. Sales for the first nine months were 299.8 million euros, compared with 385.6 million euros in the prior-year period. The gross profit margin was 37.0 percent for the first nine months, slightly above 36.8 percent a year earlier, while the EBIT margin fell to 6.1 percent from 15.2 percent. The company attributed the margin pressure primarily to planned higher research and development spending.

Guidance Holds After October Cut

Management retained the outlook revised on October 27. SUSS expects 2026 sales of 405 million to 425 million euros, a gross profit margin of 35 percent to 37 percent and an EBIT margin of 5 percent to 7 percent. Component constraints are expected to shift some revenue into fiscal 2027.

The company is also reshaping its manufacturing network. Mask-aligner production is scheduled to move gradually from Garching to Zhubei, Taiwan, during 2027, while module manufacturing will be relocated to Sternenfels, Germany. SUSS expects one-time expenses of approximately 6.2 million euros, with around 4.5 million euros currently expected in fiscal 2026.

SUSS MicroTec stock traded at 44.89 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:34 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026, 1.10 percent above the Xetra close of Thursday, November 5. The real-time quote of SUSS MicroTec stock reflects the market's assessment during the session, while the record order book offers longer-term visibility but does not remove execution risks from delayed deliveries and the production relocation.

The DAX market overview provides the broader German equity-market context without changing the company-specific outlook.

Investors will next focus on delivery execution, the timing of deferred revenue and progress with the manufacturing transfer. More news and analyses on SUSS MicroTec stock cover the company's order momentum, guidance and semiconductor exposure.
