- SUSS is relocating production from Garching to Zhubei and Sternenfels.
- The 2026 outlook reflects supply constraints, relocation effects and deferred revenue recognition.
- The next quarterly statement is scheduled for November 5, 2026.
SUSS MicroTec's latest trading data add a fresh market signal to an already important operational reset. At Lang & Schwarz, the share price was 55.40 euros on October 29, 2026, at 16:59:35 Berlin time. After the regular session, the Xetra close was 55.10 euros, up 4.16% from the previous Xetra close of 52.90 euros on October 28.
Production network is being reshaped
On October 27, SUSS said its Management Board had resolved, with Supervisory Board approval, to concentrate production at Zhubei in Taiwan and Sternenfels in Germany. Mask aligner production is to be consolidated gradually in Zhubei, while module manufacturing will be concentrated in Sternenfels. Production activities in Garching will be discontinued, affecting approximately 70 employees.
The company presented the move as a way to improve scalability, reduce internal interfaces and bring capacity closer to customers in Asia. Research and development, key manufacturing, application and technology expertise, and the headquarters are to remain in Germany, according to the EQS announcement published by Placera.
Demand holds while guidance falls
SUSS reported that third-quarter order intake remained high and that its order book reached a new record level. At the same time, supply constraints for certain components are expected to defer some revenue into fiscal 2027. The revised 2026 revenue range is 405 million euros to 425 million euros, compared with 425 million euros to 485 million euros previously. The EBIT margin is now expected at 5% to 7%, versus 8% to 10% before, while the gross margin outlook remains 35% to 37%.
One-off expenses connected with the production relocation are expected to total approximately 6.2 million euros, including around 4.5 million euros in 2026. For investors, the central issue is execution: the record order book supports demand visibility, but delivery timing, component availability and the production transition will determine how much of that demand becomes revenue and profit.
The next quarterly statement, covering the period ended September 30, 2026, is scheduled for November 5. The current quote is also available through the real-time quote of SUSS MicroTec stock.
