- SUSS MicroTec is consolidating production in Taiwan and Germany while ending manufacturing activities in Garching.
- The revised outlook reflects supply constraints, relocation effects and revenue shifting into fiscal 2027.
- A record order book supports demand visibility, but execution and delivery timing remain central for investors.
On October 27, 2026, SUSS MicroTec SE announced a production-network redesign and reduced its 2026 sales and EBIT outlook. The Deutsche Boerse announcement said the Management Board, with Supervisory Board approval, will concentrate production at Zhubei in Taiwan and Sternenfels in Germany.
Production shifts toward scale
Mask-aligner production will gradually move to Zhubei, while module manufacturing will be concentrated in Sternenfels. SUSS MicroTec will discontinue systems and module production in Garching, a move affecting approximately 70 employees.
The company said the redesign is intended to consolidate capacity, improve scalability and support future growth. For investors, the near-term issue is the transition from a more distributed production network to a structure with greater concentration at two sites.
Lower outlook reflects timing
SUSS MicroTec now expects 2026 sales of 405 million euros to 425 million euros, compared with the previous range of 425 million euros to 485 million euros. The expected EBIT margin has been reduced to 5% to 7% from 8% to 10%, while the gross-margin outlook remains 35% to 37%.
The revised forecast includes one-off expenses of approximately 6.2 million euros, with around 4.5 million euros planned for fiscal 2026. The company also expects production-relocation effects and constrained supplies of certain components to defer revenue into fiscal 2027. That combination leaves demand intact but increases the importance of delivery schedules, the site transition and customer acceptance.
Orders provide a demand cushion
SUSS MicroTec said third-quarter order intake remained high and that its order book reached a new record level. The backlog provides visibility for future activity, but it does not remove the risk that component shortages or the production move delay revenue conversion and weigh on near-term profitability.
SUSS MicroTec stock traded at 51.95 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:01 CET on Friday, October 30, 2026. Investors can also follow the real-time quote of SUSS MicroTec stock.
