- Strategy reported its strongest quarterly operating result after a major gain on digital assets.
- Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang left the role, with Phong Le taking interim finance responsibility.
- Bitcoin exposure remains central while software revenue weakened year over year.
Strategy entered the weekend with a major finance leadership change following its third-quarter results. The company said on October 29 that Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang would leave the role on November 5, while the quarter produced the largest operating result in the company's history.
Strategy stock traded at 116.22 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:47 CET on Saturday, November 7, 2026; the real-time quote of Strategy stock is available here.
Bitcoin gains reshape quarterly earnings
Strategy reported third-quarter operating income of 20.91 billion U.S. dollars, including a 20.91 billion U.S. dollar gain on digital assets. Net income reached 19.53 billion U.S. dollars, while diluted earnings per share came to 44.75 U.S. dollars.
The result reflects fair-value changes in the company's bitcoin holdings rather than a comparable expansion of its software operations. Strategy held 848,517 bitcoin as of October 25, according to the company's third-quarter results release.
Software revenue remains under pressure
Total revenue fell to 125.4 million U.S. dollars from 128.7 million U.S. dollars a year earlier. Gross profit was 89.6 million U.S. dollars, producing a 71 percent gross margin.
For investors, the figures underline the two-sided nature of Strategy's model. Bitcoin price movements can dominate reported earnings, while the enterprise software business remains the operating base and faces weaker product and support revenue.
Finance leadership enters transition
Phong Le, Strategy's president and chief executive, assumed responsibility for the finance organization during the transition. Reza Virasteh, currently executive vice president of operations, is scheduled to become chief financial officer on January 1, 2027, serving as co-principal financial officer alongside Le.
Kang will remain with Strategy in an advisory capacity through December 31. Le will retain responsibility for the financial management of the company's bitcoin strategy, keeping capital allocation and digital-asset exposure directly tied to the executive transition.
