- Siemens and Naver discussed ways to combine industrial solutions with digital twins and AI infrastructure.
- The talks included robotics, robot foundation models and potential expansion into global markets.
- Management attention remains focused on safe deployment and practical productivity gains from industrial AI.
Siemens stock traded at 268.08 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:35 CET on Monday, November 2, 0.91 percent above the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. The move came as fresh industrial AI discussions added a strategic technology angle ahead of Siemens' next corporate update.
The Herald Business reported on Monday that Siemens Group Chairman Roland Busch and Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon held a dialogue on industrial AI at the Asia-Pacific German Business Conference in Seoul on Saturday, October 31. The talks focused on combining German engineering with Asian strengths in AI, chips and digital platforms across manufacturing, energy and mobility.
Choi said industrial AI would reach a true tipping point only when small and midsize companies and their suppliers could use it with ease. She also stressed that human oversight becomes more important as AI handles a wider range of tasks. The comments frame adoption as a supply-chain and productivity issue rather than only a software feature.
Digital twins and robotics in focus
Busch said industrial AI would create its full value only when deployed safely and reliably in the field and scaled across industries. That emphasis is relevant for Siemens because the group's industrial offering combines automation, software and digital-twin capabilities with applications in physical production environments.
After the dialogue, Siemens executives visited Naver's 1784 headquarters. The companies discussed cases in which Naver's digital-twin technology has been used in industrial settings and explored ways to take those applications into global markets alongside Siemens' industrial solutions. They also considered cooperation involving robotics and robot foundation models.
The discussions build on a June memorandum of understanding between Naver Cloud and Korea Siemens to advance AI transformation in manufacturing. The planned cooperation combines Siemens industrial automation and digital-twin technology with Naver Cloud's AI and cloud infrastructure, while also targeting joint customer development and industry-specific projects.
For investors, the talks reinforce Siemens' positioning in industrial AI but do not by themselves establish additional revenue or earnings. The commercial test will be whether pilot applications translate into repeatable customer projects, measurable productivity gains and stronger software-related growth. The next scheduled Siemens financial checkpoint is the fourth-quarter and preliminary fiscal 2026 release on November 12, making execution and management's outlook important reference points for the stock.
