Schaeffler will publish its interim statement with final validated figures for the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 on Tuesday, November 3. The company confirmed its full-year 2026 guidance and mid-term targets for 2028 in a preliminary release dated October 13.
In that release, Schaeffler reported nine-month revenue of 17.5 billion euros, down from 17.7 billion euros in the prior-year period. The EBIT margin before special items improved to 4.5 percent from 4.2 percent, while free cash flow before cash inflows and outflows from mergers and acquisitions was negative at 40 million euros, compared with positive free cash flow of 47 million euros a year earlier.
E-Mobility Charges Reshape Outlook
Schaeffler said it recognized one-off impairments and provisions of about 240 million euros in its E-Mobility division, including about 220 million euros in the third quarter. The company linked the measures to lower project volumes at European vehicle manufacturers, particularly in China, and said the actions should reduce overcapacity and support profitability in future years.
The division reported nine-month revenue of 3.9 billion euros, compared with 3.7 billion euros a year earlier. Its EBIT margin before special items improved to negative 14.8 percent from negative 17.8 percent, but remained a key area for investors ahead of the final release.
Robotics Orders Add Growth Option
Schaeffler also said new orders in its humanoid robotics business rose to about 400 million euros after it won two customers in Greater China during the third quarter. The order development provides a growth option, while the final quarterly figures should clarify the effect of the E-Mobility measures on earnings and cash flow.
