- The transaction supports Saint-Gobain's Lead & Grow strategy and reduces exposure to distribution.
Saint-Gobain completed the sale of its Dahl specialist distribution business in Sweden, Norway and Denmark to Kesko on Monday, November 2, 2026. The transaction marks a completed portfolio move rather than a pending agreement, according to a report by Ideal Investisseur.
The sale covers the group's specialist distribution activities under the Dahl brand. The business operated 190 stores and employed 2,700 people across the three Nordic markets, all of which now leave Saint-Gobain's scope.
Completed disposal changes the portfolio
The divested business generated EUR 2.068 billion in revenue in 2025. The enterprise value of EUR 1.518 billion corresponds to 10.4 times 2025 EBITDA including IFRS 16 lease liabilities, or 14.6 times excluding those liabilities.
Saint-Gobain places the transaction within its Lead & Grow strategy, which focuses on improving the group's business profile while redirecting capital toward higher-growth activities. The disposal follows the group's broader portfolio rotation and gives investors a clearer view of the businesses remaining in the consolidated perimeter.
