- Third-quarter revenue increased 9 percent year over year to 5.6 billion US dollars.
- Management said 2027 bookings are pacing ahead of historical levels at higher rates.
- The Sandals and Beaches Resorts investment is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
Royal Caribbean Group reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter results on October 27, 2026, and raised its full-year adjusted earnings outlook. The release, carried by AAP, said demand for cruises departing close to sailing dates was particularly strong in Europe and the Caribbean.
The real-time quote of Royal Caribbean stock was 285.20 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:10 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
Third-Quarter Results Exceed Guidance
Royal Caribbean reported third-quarter revenue of 5.6 billion US dollars, up 9 percent from the same period a year earlier. Net income reached 1.7 billion US dollars, or 6.45 US dollars per diluted share, while adjusted net income was 1.8 billion US dollars, or 6.57 US dollars per diluted share.
The company carried 2.7 million guests during the quarter, 9 percent more than a year earlier. Capacity increased 8 percent, and occupancy reached 112.4 percent. Net yields rose 0.6 percent in constant-currency terms, supported by close-in demand in Europe and the Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean said some cost improvements reflected the timing of expenses shifting into the fourth quarter. Net cruise costs excluding fuel per available passenger cruise day declined 1.8 percent in constant currency, while the company expects full-year costs excluding fuel to be broadly flat on that basis.
Bookings Point To Pricing Power
Since the previous earnings call, booking volumes across major channels have risen in the mid-teens year over year, according to the company. Bookings for 2027 sailings increased in the high teens, and management said the booked position for both 2026 and 2027 was ahead of the prior year at record rates.
Chief Executive Jason Liberty said 2027 bookings were pacing ahead of historical levels at higher rates. Pre-cruise and onboard revenue rates also exceeded the prior year in the third quarter, while fourth-quarter pre-cruise revenue was booked ahead of last year.
Higher 2026 Earnings Guidance
Royal Caribbean now expects 2026 adjusted earnings per share of 17.85 to 17.95 US dollars. The outlook includes 9 percent revenue growth and constant-currency net-yield growth of about 2.1 percent. Higher fuel costs and currency exchange rates partly offset the benefit from the stronger third quarter.
The company remains focused on its Perfecta targets, including 20 percent adjusted EPS compound annual growth from 2024 through 2027. It expects 2027 capacity to grow 4.5 percent, driven by new ships and fewer dry-dock days.
Sandals Deal Adds A New Growth Vector
Royal Caribbean also highlighted its planned 50 percent investment in Sandals and Beaches Resorts. The transaction is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Management expects the investment to contribute to earnings in 2027, with the timing dependent on the closing.
The resort portfolio would broaden Royal Caribbean's vacation platform beyond cruising. The company said about 30 percent of its guests also take all-inclusive vacations, while a similar proportion of Sandals and Beaches guests also cruise, creating a potential cross-selling opportunity.
The broader market context remains available in current market reports.
For investors, the central question is whether strong advance bookings and higher rates can offset fuel, currency and execution risks as Royal Caribbean expands capacity. More news and analyses on Royal Caribbean stock remain available as the company moves toward its next earnings update.
