Royal Caribbean Group (ISIN LR0008862868) raised its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance to USD 17.85 to USD 17.95 after reporting third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of USD 6.57 on October 27, 2026. The company said the quarter benefited from close-in demand and lower costs linked to expense timing, according to the PR Newswire release issued for Royal Caribbean Group.
Revenue growth supports the raise
Total revenue reached USD 5.6 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 9 percent from the third quarter of 2025. Net income was USD 1.7 billion, or USD 6.45 per diluted share, while adjusted EBITDA reached USD 2.5 billion, according to the company release.
The operating figures point to both demand and capacity effects. Royal Caribbean carried 2.7 million guests in the third quarter of 2026, 9 percent more than in the year-earlier quarter, while capacity increased 8 percent and load factor reached 112 percent. Net yields rose 0.6 percent in constant currency, and net cruise costs excluding fuel per available passenger cruise day fell 1.8 percent in constant currency.
What does the outlook include?
Royal Caribbean expects full-year 2026 revenue growth of 9 percent and constant-currency net yield growth of 2.1 percent. The company also expects capacity growth of 6.6 percent, while fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share are projected at USD 3.48 to USD 3.58.
Fuel and currency remain explicit counterweights to the higher earnings outlook. Royal Caribbean included USD 379 million of fourth-quarter fuel expense in its guidance, with 58 percent of forecast consumption hedged, and said higher fuel costs and currency exchange rates partly offset the guidance increase.
Expansion adds a second growth path
The release also details Royal Caribbean's planned 50 percent investment in Sandals and Beaches Resorts, announced in September 2026. The portfolio includes 18 resorts and three resorts under development, and the transaction is expected to close in early 2027 subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
The company said the investment should be immediately accretive to earnings after closing, although the 2027 contribution depends on the transaction timing. That gives investors a second operating development to track alongside the cruise group's booking trends and cost performance.
