Rheinmetall stock rises as Schakal order supports late-day quote
Published on 10/29/2026 at 17:49 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSNew order and stronger market momentum
- Rheinmetall is a key industrial partner in the Schakal programme for German and Dutch forces.
- The latest options increase the programme total and provide confirmed volume for the company’s 8x8 vehicle business.
- Deliveries are planned over a long period, while the next quarterly report is scheduled for November 5.
What has changed since the last report: Rheinmetall said on October 29, 2026, that OCCAR had commissioned further Schakal wheeled infantry fighting vehicles for Germany and the Netherlands. By 17:00:20 CEST, the Lang & Schwarz quote had risen to EUR 1,056.50 from EUR 1,040.10 in the earlier report published the same day, an increase of 1.58 percent. The market move is a separate observation and does not establish that the order caused the price change.
The company disclosed the order in its press release. The package covers 35 vehicles for the Bundeswehr and 34 for the Royal Dutch Land Forces. Rheinmetall is a key industrial partner in Artec GmbH, the joint venture with KNDS Deutschland that is the prime contractor for the Boxer family.
Confirmed volume, long delivery schedule
According to Rheinmetall, the two option call-offs have a combined value for the company in the medium three-digit million-euro range. Delivery is currently planned between May 2032 and November 2033. The options lift the total Schakal programme to 291 vehicles, compared with 222 vehicles in the main contract awarded in October 2025.
The Schakal combines the Boxer wheeled chassis with the turret of the tracked Puma infantry fighting vehicle. Its main weapon is Rheinmetall’s MK 30-2/ABM machine gun, complemented by the MELLS anti-tank guided missile. For investors, the order adds confirmed programme volume, but its long delivery schedule limits its immediate relevance to the next reporting date.
Quote advances beyond the Xetra reference
The verified Xetra close for October 28, 2026, was EUR 1,011.80. Against that reference, the current Lang & Schwarz quote was 4.42 percent higher. The next scheduled company event is the publication of Rheinmetall’s third-quarter report on November 5, 2026.
