Enagas stock (ISIN ES0130960018) was trading at EUR 16.75 at Lang & Schwarz on October 14, 2026 at 9:35 a.m. CEST, 0.30 percent above the Xetra close of October 13, 2026 at EUR 16.70. The latest valuation signal came from Renta 4, which raised its target for Enagas from EUR 17.70 to EUR 20.30 in a report dated September 28, 2026, according to Bolsamania.
Regulation lifts the valuation case
Renta 4 kept its overweight recommendation and linked the higher target to the regulatory framework planned for 2027 through 2032. The bank estimates that the framework could add EUR 75.00-80.00 million to Enagas annual regulated revenue.
The report also put the financial return rate at 6.46 percent for the new period, compared with 5.44 percent for 2021 through 2026. That comparison points to a stronger regulated revenue base before any contribution from hydrogen infrastructure.
Hydrogen remains a separate option
Renta 4 valued potential hydrogen activity at EUR 4.70 per share, but excluded that figure from the EUR 20.30 target because the outcome depends on regulation and project execution. The hydrogen trunk network investment timetable moved from 2027 to 2029, with operations expected in 2032.
For investors, the distinction matters: the target increase rests on regulated gas economics, while hydrogen remains an additional scenario. The report also identified higher refinancing costs, delayed projects and slower industrial adoption as risks to that scenario.
Castor work reaches a new stage
Enagas completed the permanent sealing of all 13 Castor storage wells on October 5, 2026, using three permanent plugs in each well. The company said the work prepares the facility for the final dismantling of the marine and land surface installations.
The estimated cost of the sealing work is EUR 241.00 million, pending final certifications, according to Enagas. The completed phase permanently isolates eight production wells, four monitoring wells and one fluid reinjection well.
Stock remains below its yearly high
The EUR 16.75 Lang & Schwarz price is 6.63 percent below the 52-week high of EUR 17.94 and above the 52-week low of EUR 13.02. Market capitalization stood at EUR 4.4 billion on October 14, 2026.
Enagas is listed on BME under ticker ENG.MC and operates in the regulated gas utility sector. The combination of a higher regulated revenue outlook and a still conditional hydrogen pipeline leaves regulation as the clearest near-term valuation driver.
