Renault Group reported resilient third-quarter revenue on Thursday, October 29, 2026, while vehicle volumes declined amid strong competition. The company said in its Q3 financial update that group revenue reached 11.596 billion euros, up 1.5 percent from the same quarter a year earlier.

Renault stock traded at 27.65 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:16 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026. The real-time quote of Renault stock reflects the latest available trading indication.

Revenue growth meets weaker volumes

Renault sold 497,799 vehicles during the quarter, 6.0 percent fewer than a year earlier. The group attributed the pressure to a highly competitive environment, while a stronger product mix, partner sales and growth at Mobilize Financial Services helped protect revenue.

Automotive revenue was broadly unchanged at 9.835 billion euros, compared with 9.839 billion euros in the third quarter of 2025. At constant exchange rates, automotive revenue fell 0.2 percent. Mobilize Financial Services generated 1.761 billion euros, an increase of 11.0 percent, reinforcing the contribution from the financing business.

Electric vehicles provided an important counterweight. They represented 25.8 percent of quarterly sales, while Renault said European electric passenger-car sales rose sharply from a year earlier. The update also highlighted disciplined pricing and partner activity as offsets to the negative volume effect in the automotive division.

Targets remain unchanged for 2026

Renault retained its full-year outlook for an operating margin of about 5.5 percent of group revenue and automotive free cash flow of about 1.0 billion euros. Revenue for the first nine months reached 41.8 billion euros, 7.1 percent above the prior-year period, although total vehicle sales over the same period fell 2.2 percent to 1.662 million units.

Inventory management remains a focus for investors. New-vehicle inventories stood at 532,000 units at September 30, including 312,000 vehicles held by independent dealers. Renault expects total inventories to move toward the lower end of its 525,000 to 550,000-unit range by the end of 2026.

Reuters reported that the quarterly revenue result exceeded the company-compiled analyst expectation, while the vehicle decline reflected intensifying competition in Europe and Latin America. For the stock, the key issue is whether electric-model momentum and financing growth can continue to offset lower volumes.
