Renault has added a new inventory detail to its third-quarter update as the group balances resilient revenue against weaker vehicle volumes. The company reported the information in its official release on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

What has changed since our last report

Total inventories stood at 532,000 vehicles on September 30, according to the Renault Group release. Renault expects inventories to move toward the lower end of a 525,000-to-550,000-vehicle range by the end of 2026, giving investors a clearer operational marker for the final quarter.

Group revenue rose 1.5 percent year on year to 11.596 billion euros in the third quarter. Vehicle sales fell 6.0 percent to 497,799 units, while automotive revenue remained broadly stable at 9.835 billion euros. Mobilize Financial Services revenue increased 11.0 percent to 1.761 billion euros.

Electrification offsets volume pressure

Electric-vehicle sales rose 84.7 percent in the quarter and lifted the electric mix to 25.8 percent of passenger-car sales. Including hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, electrified vehicles represented 54.9 percent of passenger-car sales. The figures point to a stronger product mix, although lower volumes and competitive pressure remain key execution risks.

Renault stock traded at 27.34 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 18:03 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Renault stock.

Renault retained its 2026 outlook for a group operating margin of around 5.5 percent of revenue and automotive free cash flow of around 1.0 billion euros. The company expects some second-half margin improvement, while raw-material costs and inflation are expected to limit the usual seasonal uplift.

Investors will now focus on inventory reduction, fourth-quarter product launches and the conversion of electrification into profitable growth. The Euro Stoxx 50 market environment remains relevant for European auto valuations.
