Redcare Pharmacy reported strong third-quarter growth on Thursday, October 29, as prescription sales in Germany continued to accelerate. In its Q3 results release, the company said group revenue reached EUR 847 million, up 18 percent from the prior-year quarter.
Prescription revenue rose 31 percent to EUR 358 million. The German prescription business was the strongest contributor, with revenue up 56 percent to EUR 197 million. Non-prescription revenue increased 9 percent to EUR 489 million, while total DACH revenue grew 19 percent to EUR 697 million.
Prescription sales lift profitability
Redcare also delivered a second consecutive quarter of positive net income, at EUR 1 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 68 percent year over year to EUR 29 million, lifting the margin to 3.4 percent from 2.4 percent in the third quarter of 2025. The DACH adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 4.2 percent from 3.0 percent.
The company said its active customer base reached 15.2 million at the end of September, an increase of 1.5 million from a year earlier. Chief Executive Peter Schmid von Linstow said Redcare added 123,000 active customers in German prescription sales during the quarter, nearly twice the increase recorded in the second quarter.
For the first nine months, revenue rose 19 percent to EUR 2.55 billion and adjusted EBITDA reached EUR 73 million, producing a 2.9 percent margin. Redcare reported free cash flow of EUR 15 million in the quarter, while the international segment remained at a negative adjusted EBITDA margin of 0.4 percent.
Outlook remains dependent on Rx momentum
Management confirmed its upgraded 2026 targets: total revenue growth of 16 to 18 percent, non-prescription growth of 10 to 12 percent, German prescription revenue of EUR 730 million to EUR 760 million and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 2.5 to 3.0 percent.
The outlook leaves prescription growth as the central earnings driver, while the company has indicated that October non-prescription growth started below 10 percent because of a slower cough-and-cold season. Management also expects the prescription growth rate to moderate in percentage terms as the prior-year comparison becomes more demanding.
