PVA TePla reported a record order intake for the first nine months of 2026 on Thursday, November 5, while quarterly profitability improved and management confirmed its full-year outlook. The company said order intake rose 55 percent year over year to 273.4 million euros, according to the EQS release published by finanzen.net.
PVA TePla stock traded at 28.05 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:09 CET on Thursday, November 5, 6.69 percent below the Xetra close of Wednesday, November 4, at 30.06 euros. The quote followed the release of the third-quarter and nine-month figures and provides the latest market indication during the Xetra session.
Order Intake Sets A New Record
The group received orders worth 273.4 million euros in the first three quarters, compared with 176.5 million euros a year earlier. The book-to-bill ratio increased to 1.50 from 1.01, indicating that incoming orders continued to exceed reported revenue.
Metrology was the main growth driver. Its nine-month order intake increased 76 percent to 148.4 million euros and represented 54 percent of the group total. Material Solutions also grew, with order intake up 36 percent to 125.0 million euros. In the third quarter alone, group order intake reached 86.7 million euros, compared with 72.8 million euros in the prior-year period.
Revenue Growth Meets Uneven Margins
Revenue rose 4 percent in the first nine months to 181.8 million euros and increased 12 percent in the third quarter to 62.7 million euros. Metrology revenue advanced 29 percent over nine months to 88.6 million euros, while Material Solutions revenue fell to 93.3 million euros from 106.8 million euros.
Profitability remained mixed. Nine-month gross profit declined to 52.9 million euros from 56.3 million euros, and the gross margin fell to 29.1 percent from 32.1 percent. EBITDA dropped to 10.4 million euros from 18.7 million euros, with the company citing low capacity utilization, strategic development costs, upfront expenses and first-half one-off effects of about 5 million euros.
The quarterly trend was stronger. Third-quarter gross margin improved to 30.8 percent from 29.4 percent a year earlier, while EBITDA doubled from 3.0 million euros in the second quarter to 6.0 million euros. The EBITDA margin reached 9.6 percent.
Fourth Quarter Carries The Outlook
Management expects the operating improvement visible in the third quarter to continue in the fourth quarter. Higher revenue, a more favorable product mix and stronger Metrology activity are expected to lift gross margin while costs remain largely unchanged.
PVA TePla kept its 2026 revenue guidance at 255 million to 275 million euros and expects EBITDA at the lower end of the original 26 million to 31 million euro range. The company also sees a noticeable acceleration in revenue growth and profitability from 2027, supported by its order backlog and demand in both business segments.
