Prosus stock approaches key dates for shareholder distribution

- Prosus has confirmed separate Johannesburg and Amsterdam trading milestones for N shareholders.
- Investors may choose a dividend instead of the default capital repayment until November 25.
- The timetable also restricts transfers between the JSE and Euronext Amsterdam for five calendar days.
Prosus has set exchange-specific deadlines for its shareholder distribution for the year ended March 31, 2026. In an announcement published on October 29, the technology investment group confirmed a gross capital repayment of 28 euro cents per ordinary N share, with payment scheduled for Thursday, December 3. The details were published by Prosus.
For investors trading in Johannesburg, Thursday, November 5, is the last day to trade and still appear in the shareholder register for the distribution. The JSE ex-dividend and capital-repayment date follows on Friday, November 6. On Euronext Amsterdam, Friday, November 6, is the last trading day for participation, while the ex-dividend and capital-repayment date is Monday, November 9.
Distribution choices carry tax differences
The record date for participation is Tuesday, November 10. Holders of ordinary N shares can elect to receive a dividend instead of the default capital repayment between Wednesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 25. Prosus says one election excludes the other option.
The distinction matters for tax treatment. Prosus says no Dutch dividend withholding tax will be deducted from the capital repayment. A dividend election is generally subject to Dutch withholding tax of 15 percent, although exemptions or treaty relief may apply depending on the investor's circumstances. The company says shareholders should assess the consequences with their tax advisers.
Transfers of ordinary N shares between the JSE and Euronext Amsterdam will not be permitted from November 6 through November 10 because the two exchanges use different ex-dividend dates. The distribution follows the end of Prosus's mandatory creditor opposition period on October 28, which allowed the final timetable to be published.
Prosus stock trades near prior close
Prosus stock traded at 34.61 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:04 CET on Monday, November 2, 0.03 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. The Xetra reference was 34.62 euros, according to the 1TY.DE Xetra quote.
For the company, the distribution is a capital-allocation event alongside its technology investment portfolio and continuing shareholder-return activity. For investors, the immediate focus is the exchange calendar, the choice between capital repayment and dividend treatment, and the November 25 election deadline rather than the payment date alone.
