Pfizer raised its full-year 2026 outlook on Tuesday, November 3, after third-quarter revenue held broadly steady and newer medicines offset a continued decline in COVID products. The company reported the results in a Business Wire release issued on behalf of Pfizer.

Pfizer stock traded at 27.13 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:06 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 0.15 percent below the Xetra close of Monday, November 2. The comparison uses the previous Xetra session because the German market had not yet reached its 17:35 comparison point when the Lang & Schwarz quote was recorded.

New products reshape the revenue mix

Third-quarter revenue came to 16.583 billion US dollars, compared with 16.654 billion US dollars a year earlier. Excluding Comirnaty and Paxlovid, revenue grew 7 percent operationally, while launched and acquired products increased 32 percent operationally.

Eliquis revenue rose 25 percent operationally to 2.52 billion US dollars, while Padcev revenue advanced 55 percent to 720 million US dollars. Growth in Vyndaqel, Nurtec and Lorbrena also helped offset lower COVID sales. Paxlovid revenue fell 63 percent operationally and Comirnaty revenue declined 29 percent.

Guidance moves higher

Pfizer lifted its 2026 revenue outlook to 62.0 billion to 64.0 billion US dollars from 60.5 billion to 62.5 billion previously. The midpoint rose by 1.5 billion US dollars. Adjusted diluted earnings guidance was raised and narrowed to 2.95 to 3.05 US dollars per share from 2.80 to 3.00 US dollars.

Reported diluted earnings per share were 0.56 US dollars, down from 0.62 US dollars in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were 0.87 US dollars, unchanged year over year. The guidance includes a one-time 650 million US dollar acquired in-process research and development charge tied to Pfizer's Innovent Biologics agreement.

Pipeline and finance leadership in focus

Pfizer said recent late-stage progress included eight pivotal study starts, one pivotal readout and two regulatory decisions. The company also appointed Cecile Guegan chief financial officer and executive vice president, effective November 1, after she had served as interim finance chief.
