Production gains across upstream operations
The production record was supported by the ramp-up of the P-78 and P-79 floating production units in the Buzios field. The Alexandre de Gusmao platform reached peak production at the Mero field, while lower losses from maintenance and shutdowns also supported the quarter.
Total operated production, including volumes owned by partners, reached 5.08 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Petrobras' own pre-salt production reached 2.96 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, surpassing the previous quarterly record of 2.78 million in the second quarter.
Refining adds further support
Refinery output reached 1.87 million barrels per day, with utilization averaging 99 percent. Diesel production set a quarterly record at 769,000 barrels per day, while three refineries also posted individual quarterly records for S-10 diesel.
Industrial Info Resources said Petrobras expects the P-80, P-82 and P-83 platforms to begin production in 2027. The next major company checkpoint is the third-quarter financial release scheduled for November 10 after the market close.
