- Governance and compliance spending remain central to the investment case ahead of PDD Holdings' third-quarter results.
- Deutsche Bank raised its rating to Buy while keeping its 105 US dollar target, making the earnings outlook the next test for that view.
PDD Holdings is heading toward its next earnings checkpoint as investors weigh Temu's regulatory workload against the group's valuation. A TIKR analysis updated October 30 said Deutsche Bank had raised its rating from Hold to Buy while keeping its 105 US dollar target.
What has changed since the last report
The latest Lang & Schwarz quote was 1.77% above the 73.40 euros reported in the most recent own article at 14:01 CET on Wednesday. That move provides a fresh market signal, while the business debate remains focused on whether higher governance costs can support durable international growth.
PDD Holdings stock traded at 74.70 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:05 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026; investors can follow the real-time quote of PDD Holdings stock.
Temu spending raises the execution bar
TIKR reported that PDD had introduced more than 150 trust and safety measures and launched more than 50 targeted initiatives in June. Non-GAAP research and development expense reached 4.3 billion renminbi in the second quarter, up 40% year over year, while non-GAAP operating expenses rose to 31% of revenue from 29%.
The same analysis said Temu's European compliance plan followed a 200 million euro Digital Services Act fine. The European Commission accepted five corrective measures, including an interim risk assessment. The plan remains an execution obligation rather than a closed regulatory case.
Second-quarter revenue came in at 112.36 billion renminbi, 1.36% below the consensus cited by TIKR, while adjusted earnings per share of 19.33 renminbi exceeded expectations by 5.34%. Analysts cited in the analysis expected third-quarter revenue of about 116 billion renminbi, or growth of about 7%.
TIKR's analysis also noted that the first-party brand rollout had taken longer than expected and that the European Union's 3 euro charge on low-value parcels adds pressure to Temu's cross-border economics. The central investor question is whether compliance and platform investment can strengthen international scale without extending the pressure on margins. The business figures and analyst context are covered by TIKR's PDD Holdings analysis.
