Partners Group (ISIN CH0024608827) was trading at EUR 648.50 at Lang & Schwarz on October 5, 2026 at 1:32 p.m. CEST, up 0.17 percent versus the prior close of EUR 647.40. On October 2, FT.com reported that the investment manager plans to split its EUR 6.6 billion Global Value SICAV into two sub-portfolios. Partners Group stock stood 45.01 percent below the SIX 52-week high of CHF 1,097.50, based on a SIX price of CHF 603.00 at 1:19 p.m. CEST.
Evergreen fund gets two paths
The proposed umbrella structure would contain a compounding portfolio for long-term value accretion and a distributing portfolio designed to let investors harvest returns through asset sales. The fund has generated 4.5x invested capital since inception, according to the October 2 company announcement carried by FT.com.
Existing investors would be able to retain exposure, convert holdings between the two portfolios or redeem from either sub-portfolio. The proposal requires shareholder approval, while Partners Group plans an additional balance-sheet commitment to the compounding portfolio alongside new institutional clients.
Fundraising offsets fee pressure
The company entered the restructuring debate after a weaker first half. Börse Global reported on September 11 that income fell 7 percent to CHF 1.12 billion in the first half of 2026, performance fees dropped 39 percent to CHF 216 million and profit declined 13 percent to CHF 502 million. The same report said first-half fundraising reached USD 16 billion, up 31 percent from the prior-year period, while assets under management rose 7 percent to USD 186 billion.
Partners Group also reduced its 2026 guidance for performance-related income to 20 to 25 percent of total income from 25 to 40 percent previously, according to Börse Global. That contrast matters: fundraising expanded by 31 percent, but the more performance-sensitive income stream weakened and its guidance range narrowed.
Stock remains far below its high
The SIX quote was CHF 603.00 on October 5, 2026 at 1:19 p.m. CEST, compared with a 52-week low of CHF 591.00 and a high of CHF 1,097.50. The primary-exchange market capitalization was CHF 15.5 billion at that timestamp. Partners Group's investor-relations calendar lists March 16, 2027 for publication of financial results as of December 31, 2026, according to Partners Group.
