The service combines a proprietary multi-model harness with Unit 42 threat intelligence and offensive security expertise. Palo Alto Networks said the harness can use Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5, OpenAI's GPT-5.6-Cyber and open-weight models. The offering provides a baseline scan followed by continuous testing as an organization's environment changes, and can assess web applications, application programming interfaces, cloud infrastructure, source-code repositories and network assets, the company said in its release.

Palo Alto Networks said it developed and validated the approach over six months of internal testing and more than 100 Unit 42 customer engagements, backed by a $17 million investment in research and development. Continuous Frontier AI Defense is available worldwide through annual subscriptions, with options varying according to the models used, the company said.
