Nasdaq listed the day's high at 3,306.18 points and low at 3,274.06 points.
Drivers of the day
Stocks carried momentum from Monday's record close on the Nasdaq Composite, while lower market rates and a retreat in oil prices supported European equities. A market update from Placera also linked the advance to the positive international tone.
Healthcare was the strongest major sector in early trading, while energy lagged. The same update said AstraZeneca rose after Chief Executive Pascal Soriot said the company's existing portfolio could support growth beyond 2030 without a major acquisition, while Citi raised its price target and repeated its buy recommendation.
Single stocks
Addtech and AstraZeneca were among the leading OMXS30 constituents during the session. Saab moved against the broader market and was down 3.8 percent at midday, according to Placera. Nearly all OMXS30 members were higher at that stage, the update said.
Events of the next session
Statistics Sweden is scheduled to publish its flash estimate for September CPI on October 7, according to the weekly economic calendar. The Federal Reserve is scheduled to release minutes from its September 15-16 meeting at 2:00 p.m. ET on October 7, as noted by Admiral Markets.
