OMV reported a stronger third quarter on October 29, with the integrated energy group benefiting from higher commodity prices and sharply improved refining margins. In its third-quarter results release, OMV said clean CCS operating result rose 68% from a year earlier to EUR 2,117 million. Clean CCS net income attributable to stockholders of the parent reached EUR 1,153 million, while clean CCS earnings per share nearly doubled to EUR 3.54.

Energy And Fuels Drive Results

Energy clean operating result increased 51% to EUR 936 million. OMV attributed the improvement mainly to higher realized oil and gas prices, which offset lower sales volumes caused in part by missing liftings in the Middle East amid regional logistics constraints. Hydrocarbon production declined 3% to 294 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Fuels delivered the largest earnings contribution. Its clean CCS operating result climbed to EUR 1,124 million from EUR 413 million in the prior-year quarter. Higher European and Middle Eastern refining margins, strong refinery utilization and a more favorable product mix supported the increase. OMV's European refining indicator margin more than tripled to USD 37.50 per barrel.

Chemicals provided a counterweight. Its clean operating result fell to EUR 63 million from EUR 222 million as benchmark prices weakened and Borouge International contributed EUR 16 million. The figures are clean CCS or clean operating measures where stated and therefore exclude the relevant effects of special items and crude-price changes.

Cash Flow And Outlook Improve

Operating cash flow rose to EUR 2,199 million, while cash flow excluding net working capital effects reached EUR 2,334 million. OMV ended the quarter with net debt of EUR 4,403 million and a leverage ratio of 17%, giving investors a balance-sheet reference as the group continues to fund capital spending and strategic projects.

OMV stock traded at EUR 73.83 on Lang & Schwarz at 12:11 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of OMV stock.

For 2026, OMV now expects organic capital expenditure of about EUR 3.5 billion, an average Brent price above USD 95 per barrel, hydrocarbon production of about 290 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, average realized gas prices near EUR 45 per megawatt-hour and a European refining indicator margin near USD 25 per barrel. The company projects European refinery utilization above 90%.
