Nexi reported modest reported growth for the first nine months of 2026 on Thursday, November 5, while keeping its full-year outlook unchanged. Il Sole 24 ORE reported that revenue rose 1.1 percent year over year to 2.678 billion euros.

The July-to-September quarter provided the main sign of improvement. Revenue reached 942 million euros, up 1.3 percent year over year, while the company said underlying revenue growth was 4 percent for both the quarter and the nine-month period after excluding the impact of lost banking clients and other one-off effects.

Merchant payments regain momentum

Merchant Solutions, Nexi's largest business area, drove the renewed acceleration. The division's revenue reached about 1.52 billion euros for the first nine months, with quarterly growth returning to positive territory after the effects of previously disclosed bank-contract losses weighed on reported performance.

Issuing Solutions generated about 872 million euros in revenue, up 2.4 percent from the prior-year period. Digital Banking Solutions revenue increased 3 percent to 283 million euros. The mix shows that Nexi's broader platform continued to offset uneven conditions across individual payment businesses.

Cost control supports guidance

EBITDA increased 0.3 percent to 1.400 billion euros in the first nine months, producing a margin of 52.3 percent. Third-quarter EBITDA rose 0.6 percent to 530 million euros, with a 56.3 percent margin. Il Sole 24 ORE said the nine-month margin exceeded the cited 51.8 percent consensus estimate.

Nexi confirmed its 2026 guidance for net-revenue growth broadly in line with 2025 and broadly stable absolute EBITDA after strategic investments. Excess cash generation is expected at about 750 million euros after those investments and higher taxes. The company also expects to propose a dividend of 0.30 euros per share, equivalent to about 350 million euros, at the next annual general meeting.

Management expects Merchant Solutions to accelerate in the fourth quarter, when seasonal consumer spending becomes more important. For investors, the central test is whether that recovery can offset the remaining effects of earlier bank-contract losses while Nexi preserves cost discipline and cash generation.

Nexi stock traded at 4.49 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:41 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026.
