Murata Manufacturing raised its full-year outlook on Friday, October 30, 2026, after stronger demand for data-center components drove a sharp increase in first-half profit. Investing.com, citing Reuters, said higher production volumes and a more favorable product mix supported the upgrade.
Murata Manufacturing stock traded at 33.75 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:33 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. That was 1.43 percent below the 34.24 euros cited in the latest own report at 09:31 CET on the same day, a separate comparison from any Xetra session performance.
First-half growth broadens the case
For the six months ended September 30, revenue increased 20.8 percent year over year to 1.09 trillion yen. Operating profit rose 48.9 percent to 245.91 billion yen, while profit attributable to owners increased 40.6 percent to 186.15 billion yen.
Capacitor revenue, including multilayer ceramic capacitors, advanced 33.1 percent to 605.58 billion yen. Revenue from computer-related applications climbed 61.2 percent to 235.11 billion yen, highlighting the importance of data-center and AI-server demand to the current growth cycle.
Higher targets raise execution stakes
Murata lifted its fiscal-year revenue forecast to 2.26 trillion yen from 2.11 trillion yen previously. The operating-profit forecast increased to 520 billion yen from 430 billion yen, while projected profit attributable to owners rose to 396 billion yen from 338 billion yen.
The company also raised its capital-expenditure forecast to 270 billion yen from 255 billion yen. Murata plans approximately 1 trillion yen of investment from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2030 to expand global MLCC production, with fiscal 2030 sales targeted at more than twice the fiscal 2025 level. For investors, utilization, product mix and the durability of AI-related orders will determine how effectively the capacity program converts demand into sustained margins.
