MTU Aero Engines stock ended the week higher after the company lifted its 2026 revenue outlook following a third-quarter sales beat. Reuters reported on Thursday, October 29, that maintenance growth drove adjusted quarterly revenue of 2.43 billion euros, above the 2.37 billion euro company consensus.
The company raised its full-year revenue range to 9.5 billion to 9.7 billion euros from 9.2 billion to 9.7 billion euros previously. Adjusted EBIT guidance remained at 1.35 billion to 1.45 billion euros, while management raised its cash-conversion expectation to the upper end of a 55 percent to 60 percent range. Reuters said adjusted EBIT of 349 million euros narrowly missed the 354 million euro consensus.
Weekly gain follows outlook upgrade
MTU closed at 346.70 euros on Xetra on Friday, November 6, compared with 329.30 euros on Friday, October 30. The 5.28 percent weekly gain met the threshold for a substantial weekly move. The figures and Xetra designation are shown by Lzzo; Yahoo Finance also showed the November 6 Xetra close at 346.70 euros.
On Lang & Schwarz, MTU Aero Engines stock traded at 344.30 euros at 11:29 CET on Saturday, November 7, 0.69 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, November 6. Investors can follow the real-time quote of MTU Aero Engines stock.
Maintenance remains the key driver
MTU's commercial maintenance, repair and overhaul business remained the main growth engine in the quarter. Reuters reported that maintenance revenue reached 1.72 billion euros and adjusted operating profit in the division rose 20 percent, helping offset weaker profitability in original equipment manufacturing.
Supply-chain constraints remain relevant to the outlook. Management lowered its expectation for commercial original-equipment growth, while robust maintenance demand and a more favorable US dollar exchange rate supported the group revenue upgrade.
MTU said it will provide additional details on cash development and cash conversion at its Capital Markets Day on November 30. The event is the next scheduled date that could add detail to the company's medium-term priorities.
