Mesoblast plans a board refresh as it shifts its focus toward commercial growth following the US launch of Ryoncil. The company announced the changes on November 1, 2026, in a release carried by Yahoo Finance.
Board changes support commercial expansion
William Burns will retire at Mesoblast's 2026 annual general meeting after serving on the board since 2014. Philip Krause will also retire after joining the board in 2022. Jane Bell AM will take over as chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Chair Philip Facchina said Mesoblast is now a revenue-generating commercial enterprise after the Ryoncil launch in the United States. The company plans to recruit directors with US and global commercial expertise in the biopharmaceutical sector, linking the board changes to its next phase of commercial delivery and growth.
Ryoncil remains the commercial anchor

Mesoblast is also developing the therapy for adult disease and biologic-resistant inflammatory bowel disease, while rexlemestrocel-L programs target heart failure and chronic low back pain.
