- MercadoLibre will publish third-quarter results on November 4 after the US market close.
- Brazilian credit quality and operating margin are central tests after a strong second quarter.
- Management commentary will show how the company assesses currency, competition and borrower risks.
MercadoLibre will report its third-quarter results on Wednesday, November 4, after the US market close. The company said in a Business Wire release that the period ended on September 30, 2026, and that its video conference, conference call and audio webcast will begin at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Growth meets margin pressure
The release gives investors a near-term catalyst rather than new quarterly figures. The report will update the market on MercadoLibre's online commerce and Mercado Pago fintech operations across Latin America, where the company operates in 18 countries.
The second-quarter comparison sets the starting point. The company reported revenue of more than 10 billion US dollars, up 50 percent year over year, while operating margin fell to 6.7 percent from 12.2 percent, according to Yahoo Finance. The margin trade-off reflected investment in shipping, seller fees and credit expansion.
Investors will therefore look beyond sales growth. Yahoo Finance reported that MercadoLibre's loan book reached 16.4 billion US dollars, up 75 percent year over year. The same report said loans 15 to 90 days past due stood at 7.0 percent and credit card non-performing loans at 4.6 percent in the second quarter.
Brazil is the main swing factor
Brazil is central to the next readout because currency movements, consumer credit and competitive spending can affect both growth and profitability. MercadoLibre's fintech chief Osvaldo Gimenez said after the second quarter that he was not seeing a slowdown or deterioration in the Brazilian credit book, as cited by Yahoo Finance. The November 4 call will test whether that assessment still holds after the quarter ended.
Analysts cited by Yahoo Finance expect third-quarter revenue of about 10.7 billion US dollars and earnings per share of 9.41 US dollars. Those expectations raise the bar for the reported figures, while management's outlook for the fourth quarter may matter more than the backward-looking results because the September quarter ended before Brazil's recent political market shock.
The real-time quote of MercadoLibre stock was 1,503.90 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 13:38 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
