Marriott International reported stronger third-quarter results on Monday, November 2, 2026, and raised its full-year RevPAR outlook. In its earnings release, the hotel group said worldwide revenue per available room, or RevPAR, increased 6.5 percent from the year-earlier quarter.

RevPAR rose 7.4 percent in the U.S. and Canada and 4.4 percent in international markets. Marriott attributed the global increase to higher average daily rates and occupancy. The company expects full-year 2026 worldwide RevPAR growth of 4.5 to 5 percent, citing continued healthy demand.

Fees and adjusted earnings accelerate

Franchise and base management fees increased 13 percent to 1.341 billion US dollars, supported by higher co-branded credit-card fees, RevPAR growth and a larger room base. Incentive management fees rose 22 percent to 181 million US dollars.

Reported net income increased 9 percent to 794 million US dollars from 728 million US dollars in the year-earlier quarter. Reported diluted earnings per share reached 3.04 US dollars, compared with 2.67 US dollars previously. On an adjusted basis, net income rose to 790 million US dollars from 674 million US dollars, while adjusted diluted earnings per share increased to 3.02 US dollars from 2.47 US dollars.

Adjusted EBITDA totaled 1.512 billion US dollars, up 12 percent from 1.349 billion US dollars. Marriott said adjusted results excluded cost reimbursement revenue, reimbursed expenses and certain impairment charges, so the adjusted figures should not be treated as a substitute for reported earnings.

Development remains a key growth driver

Marriott added about 20,100 net rooms during the quarter, including more than 13,400 rooms in international markets. The global system reached more than 10,200 properties and nearly 1.834 million rooms at quarter-end. The development pipeline set a record at more than 634,000 rooms across 4,209 properties, with 44 percent of pipeline rooms under construction, including properties pending conversion.

Marriott Bonvoy membership reached approximately 309 million at quarter-end. Management said record global organic signings through September and the continued contribution of conversions support longer-term expansion, while international markets and the Middle East remain important variables for operating performance.

Marriott International stock traded at 372.53 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 13:38 CET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Shareholder returns and next signals

Marriott repurchased 3.5 million shares for 1.3 billion US dollars during the quarter. Through October 28, the company had returned approximately 4.0 billion US dollars to shareholders through dividends and repurchases. The capital-return pace adds support for per-share earnings, but it also leaves investors focused on debt, hotel demand and the execution of the development pipeline.

Further operating signals will come with Marriott's next quarterly update, while the raised RevPAR outlook makes demand trends, fee growth and room additions the main indicators for the stock.
