LPBank, the operating name of Fortune Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial (ISIN VN000000LPB7), had announced on September 8, 2026 a bond program of up to VND 12.00 trillion, according to VietnamBiz. The plan gives Fortune Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial stock a financing story, while first-half earnings provide the key operating counterweight.

Bond funding targets VND 12 trillion

The September 8 resolution covered nearly VND 4.00 trillion of public bonds and up to VND 8.00 trillion of privately placed subordinated bonds. The public portion included three maturities of seven, eight and ten years, with proceeds intended to expand operating capital, strengthen tier-two capital and support customer lending through the fourth quarter of 2027.

VietnamBiz reported that VND 2.18 trillion of the public bond proceeds was allocated to agriculture, forestry and fisheries, while VND 1.77 trillion was earmarked for labor, production and consumer lending. The allocation connects the capital plan to loan growth rather than a purely balance-sheet exercise.

Profit fell as costs increased

For the first half of 2026, pre-tax profit stood at VND 5.97 trillion, down 3.00 percent from the same period of 2025. After-tax profit reached VND 4.80 trillion, also down 3.00 percent year over year, while operating expenses rose 33.00 percent to VND 3.69 trillion and credit-loss provisions more than doubled to VND 1.55 trillion, according to VietnamBiz.

The balance sheet nevertheless expanded. As of June 30, 2026, total assets reached VND 615.50 trillion, customer loans reached VND 429.47 trillion and total operating income reached VND 11.21 trillion, up 17.00 percent year over year, according to Vietnam.vn. For investors, the contrast is clear: asset growth and operating income improved, but higher costs and provisions reduced reported profit.
