Lonza said on October 14, 2026, that third-quarter performance was in line with expectations across all business platforms. In its announcement from the Capital Markets Day in Vacaville, California, the Swiss contract development and manufacturing organization kept its upgraded full-year outlook unchanged while lifting its medium-term profitability ambition.
The company now targets organic constant-currency sales growth of 10% to 13% on average over time. It expects CORE EBITDA to grow faster than sales and aims for a CORE EBITDA margin in the high thirties over the medium term. Lonza linked the stronger ambition to maturing high-return growth projects, operational and commercial improvements, capital-spending performance and continued overhead discipline.
For 2026, Lonza reiterated its forecast for constant-currency sales growth of 11% to 12% and a CORE EBITDA margin of 33% to 34%. It also expects foreign-exchange effects to reduce reported sales growth by 2% to 3%. The Capsules & Health Ingredients business is still expected to deliver mid-single-digit constant-currency sales growth and further CORE EBITDA margin expansion during the year.
The update also adds a medium-term return-on-invested-capital ambition of two to three times the current weighted average cost of capital. Lonza expects free-cash-flow conversion to improve over time, while organic capital expenditure should remain in the mid-to-high teens as a percentage of sales.
CEO Wolfgang Wienand said the transformation into a focused, pure-play CDMO had created a stronger and more integrated global organization. The company said its One Lonza strategy, growth projects and capital discipline support the revised medium-term model. The announcement was published by Lonza.
