- Lenzing completed its capital increase while the Heiligenkreuz plant decision remains open.
- Production is scheduled to continue until the first quarter of 2027 as the company transfers operations and explores a sale.
- Third-quarter results on November 5 are the next scheduled test for operating progress.
Lenzing has completed its capital increase, but the Austrian fiber maker still faces an operational test at its Heiligenkreuz plant. The company raised EUR 301.2 million in gross proceeds, according to Stock-World. The report said the rights issue was completed with 34,756,362 new shares and a 99.0 percent take-up rate.
Capital supports the restructuring
The financing provides Lenzing with additional funds for its strategy, including the repositioning of the textile business and growth in nonwovens. It does not, however, establish whether those plans will translate into stronger operating results. The enlarged share base also changes the framework for per-share measures, making the coming quarterly figures especially important.
Heiligenkreuz remains unresolved
Lenzing plans to end production at Heiligenkreuz in the first quarter of 2027 rather than at the end of 2026. The longer timetable is intended to support the transfer of production to other sites and uninterrupted customer deliveries. Stock-World reported that about 285 employees work at the plant and that potential buyers are involved in discussions, but no sale has been completed.
The delay therefore buys time rather than resolving the site's future. For investors, the key operational questions are whether production can be transferred smoothly and whether a binding buyer emerges before the revised shutdown timetable.
