Kolon Industries stock was last at KRW 56,200 on the Korea Exchange on October 2, 2026, up 2.00 percent on the session. The move followed a first-half recovery in which operating profit more than doubled as the company expanded higher-value materials for artificial intelligence servers and foldable devices, according to Seoul Economic Daily on September 13, 2026.
Operating profit rises 122.4 percent
For the first half of 2026, Kolon Industries reported consolidated revenue of KRW 2.5939 trillion and operating profit of KRW 160.7 billion. Revenue increased 4.2 percent from the same period of 2025, while operating profit increased 122.4 percent, lifting the operating margin to 6.2 percent from 2.9 percent, Seoul Economic Daily reported.
The chemical materials division supplied the largest improvement. Its first-half revenue reached KRW 783.9 billion, up 20.4 percent year over year, while operating profit rose 92.2 percent to KRW 113.7 billion from KRW 59.1 billion, according to Seoul Economic Daily.
AI materials add a second growth leg
Kolon Industries has begun trial production of modified polyphenylene oxide for copper-clad laminates used in AI servers. The company expects combined annual sales from its modified polyphenylene oxide and colorless polyimide facilities to reach KRW 400 billion once the lines operate at full capacity, Seoul Economic Daily reported.
The industrial materials segment presents a mixed operating picture. First-half revenue slipped 2.1 percent to KRW 1.1763 trillion, yet segment operating profit more than doubled to KRW 42.1 billion from KRW 20.4 billion, making utilization and product mix important variables for the recovery.
Targets remain above the October price
Four published brokerage targets average KRW 100,500, with a high of KRW 110,000 and a low of KRW 96,000. The latest report in that set, dated August 18, 2026, assigned a Buy view and a KRW 96,000 target to Kolon Industries, according to StockHub; the average target lies 78.8 percent above the October 2 price.
That valuation gap comes with operating exposure to raw-material costs, manufacturing cycles and currency fluctuations. Kolon Industries operates across industrial materials, chemicals, films and electronic materials, and fashion, according to InvestPane.
Stock remains below its yearly high
At KRW 56,200 on October 2, 2026, Kolon Industries stock stood 46.4 percent below its 52-week high of KRW 104,900 and 65.8 percent above its 52-week low of KRW 33,900. Market capitalization was KRW 1.8 trillion and volume was 86,607 shares on the same date.
