- Kioxia has approved a manufacturing merger with Kioxia Iwate effective April 1, 2027.
- The company will pay an interim dividend and host an AI-focused forum with NVIDIA and NTT.
- Management still expects a broadly flat December-quarter performance after record September results.
Kioxia Holdings has added several company-specific milestones to an already cautious earnings outlook. The semiconductor maker's half-year filing and related announcements bring a manufacturing merger, an interim payout and an AI-focused investor event into focus.
Fresh milestones after the filing
In a report published on November 6, ad-hoc-news.de reported that Kioxia Corporation had approved a merger with Kioxia Iwate Corporation. The transaction is scheduled to take effect on April 1, 2027, when Kioxia Iwate will be dissolved. The combination is intended to strengthen production of advanced flash memory.
Kioxia also approved an interim payout of 90 Japanese yen per share before the stock split, with payment scheduled for December 8, 2026. The distribution adds a shareholder-return element to an investment case that remains driven primarily by NAND pricing, shipment volumes and demand from AI data centers.
December outlook remains the main test
Management expects revenue of 2,500.0 billion Japanese yen and operating profit of 1,995.0 billion Japanese yen for the October-to-December quarter. The forecast points to broadly similar results to the September quarter, despite strong demand from data-center customers. Higher average selling prices and increased bit shipments had supported the latest quarter.
Kioxia stock traded at 49.39 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:35 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. Investors are now watching whether AI-related storage demand can support both pricing and volumes as the company moves through the December quarter.
