KION Group will hold a teach-in call on Thursday, November 5, focused on a new segment structure and the implications of IFRS 18. The company announced the event in its KION Group Q3 2026 Update Call. The session will use fiscal 2025 figures to explain the changes.
Reporting changes take center stage
KION plans to move most leasing activities out of Industrial Trucks & Services into a separate Financial Services segment from the first quarter of 2027. The company said the change should improve transparency, steering and funding flexibility. IFRS 18 will also change the presentation of the income statement, balance sheet and free cash flow statement.
The scheduled session gives analysts and investors a closer look at how the new structure will affect future reporting. KION plans to introduce the new reporting structure with its first-quarter 2027 results.
Automation offsets truck pressure
KION reported third-quarter revenue of EUR 2.835 billion, up 5 percent from a year earlier, while adjusted EBIT rose 7 percent to EUR 203 million. Intelligent Automation Solutions generated particularly strong growth, with revenue up 16 percent and adjusted EBIT up 39 percent year over year.
Industrial Trucks & Services remained the weaker side of the group. Its third-quarter revenue increased 1 percent, but adjusted EBIT fell 4 percent as lower capacity utilization and foreign-exchange effects outweighed efficiency savings. Group order intake declined 1 percent to EUR 2.651 billion.
After three quarters, KION narrowed and lowered its 2026 ranges for revenue, adjusted EBIT, return on capital employed and free cash flow. The company cited year-to-date performance and greater visibility into the fourth quarter, while its automation business continued to support the group.
The real-time quote of KION stock was 33.36 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:27 CET on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
