- Semiconductor equipment demand and order intake remain central to the operating outlook.
- The January-to-September figures will test whether the preliminary improvement is holding.
Jenoptik enters the final trading days before its January-to-September update with a higher profitability target and a sharper test for semiconductor demand. In its October 21 release, Jenoptik lifted its 2026 EBITDA margin outlook to approximately 22 percent from a previous range of 20 to 21 percent.
Jenoptik stock traded at 35.74 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 18:29 CET on Friday, November 6, 0.17 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, November 6. The quote is 4.08 percent above the 34.34 euros recorded in the latest relevant report on Thursday, November 5, giving the second main-value report a material new market reference.
Margin upgrade meets operating test
Preliminary figures for the first nine months showed an EBITDA margin of approximately 22 percent, compared with 17.5 percent in the prior-year period. Jenoptik attributed the improvement partly to a changed product mix and reported strong demand in its original equipment manufacturer businesses, especially in semiconductor equipment.
Order intake reached 1.1 billion euros in the first nine months, versus 777.3 million euros a year earlier. Group revenue exceeded 800 million euros, compared with 753.2 million euros previously, while EBITDA rose to almost 180 million euros from 131.8 million euros. The revenue-growth outlook remained unchanged at 5 to 9 percent for 2026, so the latest guidance change is concentrated on profitability rather than sales.
November figures set next checkpoint
Jenoptik is scheduled to publish its January-to-September figures on Tuesday, November 10, 2026. The release will give investors the detailed operating figures behind the preliminary margin, order-intake and EBITDA signals and show whether the improved profitability extended across the business.
