J.P. Morgan raised target for Masan stock to VND 110,000
Published on 10/08/2026 at 11:33 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSMasan (ISIN VN000000MSN4) had received a higher J.P. Morgan price target of VND 110,000 on September 21, 2026, up from VND 100,200, according to Tien Phong. The revision followed Masan's eight-month operating update and placed earnings momentum at the center of the investment case.
Targets follow stronger earnings
Masan reported VND 77,023 billion in net revenue for the first eight months of 2026, a 52 percent increase from the same period of 2025, according to VnExpress. Profit after tax before minority interests reached VND 8,518 billion, which was 2.20 times the year-earlier level.
The result covered 73 percent to 79 percent of the proposed 2026 revenue plan of VND 98,000 billion to VND 105,000 billion. That comparison matters because the higher target was set against a year in which the group had already delivered more than 70 percent of its proposed revenue range after eight months.
Consumer operations remain central
The Consumer Operating System produced VND 56,123 billion in net revenue during the first eight months, up 19 percent year over year, while WinCommerce revenue rose 27 percent to VND 31,614 billion, VnExpress reported on October 1, 2026. Masan Consumer revenue reached VND 21,536 billion, up 15 percent, giving the group a broad consumer base behind the improved results.
Masan High-Tech Materials added a second growth engine. Its revenue reached VND 21,013 billion in the first eight months, 5.10 times the year-earlier figure, supported by higher output, processed products and elevated tungsten prices, according to Viet Nam News.
Leverage remains part of the story
The expansion strategy still sits alongside a deleveraging objective. Masan was expected to end 2026 with consolidated net debt to EBITDA at 2.30 times, down from 2.40 times at the end of June 2026, according to Tinnhanhchungkhoan on October 8, 2026. For investors, the key tension is therefore measurable: faster operating growth must continue while debt ratios move lower.
Growth and control move together
Masan's eight-month figures combine a 52 percent revenue increase with a 19 percent gain in its consumer operating system and a 27 percent rise at WinCommerce. The VND 110,000 J.P. Morgan target reflects that operating picture, while the 2.30-times year-end leverage expectation keeps financial discipline in the frame.
