Italgas Group signed a binding agreement on October 2, 2026, with Marubeni Corporation and Toho Gas Co. Ltd. to acquire 100% of Meet Europe Natural Gas, which holds a 22.50% stake in Floene, according to the Italgas release.

The transaction has an equity value of approximately EUR 120 million. Floene operates approximately 14,000 kilometers of gas distribution network and has about 1.1 million active users across residential and industrial segments, according to Italgas.
