” Sept 14, 2026 | Corporate News irisnet GmbH (irisnet) announces that is has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based military R&D company technisch-mathematische studiengesellschaft mbH (tms), Bonn, for a joint development of the counter-UAS system “perdix”. irisnet has developed its own realtime artificial intelligence (AI) framework and has offered software solutions for recognition of objects in images and videos in real time since 2021. Due to strong customer demand the company has extended its existing AI platform with drone recognition capabilities. In 2025, tms started to work on a rocket propelled counter-UAS interceptor. Both developments were combined into one system which is now called perdix. Since then, the companies have jointly developed a technology demonstrator to function as a counter-UAS system.   Perdix-PX75-in-Basestation

perdix will be unveiled in September 2026 at the EUDEX trade show in Essen. The scalable system comprises a base station that detects and tracks drones using sophisticated AI controlled sensors and a smart effector. This kinetic impact interceptor PX75 is also equipped with sensors to counter low flying attack drones. perdix aims at constituting a crucial part of a layered air defense capability. The perdix system (https://perdix-defense.de ) including its PX75 smart effectors addresses current military customers’ needs as it provides a cost-effective solution for lowest tier air defense demands. In addition, irisnet offers its drone detection also to civil clients for the protection of critical infrastructure. Dr. Walter Benzing, CEO of irisnet GmbH “Thanks to our powerful real-time AI framework, which we have continuously refined over the past several years, we were able to develop a highly accurate drone detection solution in a very short time. Together with TMS, we are now applying this expertise to counter-drone technology: We are developing the AI for the PERDIX ground station, enabling it to reliably detect drones at close range and make a crucial contribution to their effective neutralization.” Ingo Beckmann, CEO of technisch-mathematische studiengesellschaft mbH (tms): “Our guided interceptor rocket is the economic response to low-cost attack drones. With the PX75, we contribute to a multi-layered defense against airborne threats at the lowest level by precisely shooting down low-flying drones with relatively little negative impact on the ground.” The live demonstrator of perdix will be on display at EUDEX in Hall 3, Booth A55.07. irisnet will also showcase its other solutions, including airis:siteguard for critical infrastructure security (https://airisnet.com/airis-siteguard-security-for-critical-infrastructure/) and airis:access for biometric access control (https://airisnet.com/biometric-access-control/), at SECURITY in Hall 5, Booth C25.19.
